    What ho? Sarcasim? A joke? Actually no it isnt!

    Yesterday me and my friend were talking about V-Day and he was going on about how much of a pain it is to shop for the right gift for his wife without catching some form of hell or another. That evening I was in a bar listening to some guy get drunk and start to talk to me about his girl and how she's bein a beeyoch and blah blah blabeddy bloo.

    Anyways that night I gave it alot of thought and realized that I got this whole Valentine's Day thing all wrong. Usually I spent the day all mopy and sad because I'm still just numero uno, but today I realize that I should really be thankful for my independence. There are alot of relationships out there that I have seen that are in a rut, or freinds that I know that are married and dislike their partners because of one thing or another.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that couples suck anus. But with Valentine's Day being mostly focused ON couples and getting gifts for that special someone, it's easy for singles to get all prickley about it.

    But remember Valentine's Day is an observation of love on all levels not just coupling. Whether its a close friend, your family, or hell even your pet iguanna, the whole point of Valentine's Day is to remember that you ARE loved. So what if you aren't legally binded to another person? I figure you can do one of two things: Either you can cry yourself a swimming pool about how alone you are and drown in it or you can look at all the positive things about NOT being in a relationship and remember that you do have people out there who do care about you a great deal. I say enjoy your independence and celebrate in the spirit of love for all it's worth.

    So in that light I just want to wish all my single and coupled friends out there a very HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

    Me and my friends were talking about V-day the other day, Sasha said "A bloody massacre is now celebrated with chocolate.." and I jumped in and said "..and legal prostitution."
    Don't get me wrong, I like v-day, I just think its an over reacting holiday. But its a way to show feelings and sweet gestures with an excuse.

    Just like Mothers day is the ultimate suck up day. lol

    The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre was named because it took place on Valentine's Day. The holiday was in place long before that event, not because of it.
